Media

Media Studies is part of the curricular group -Performing Arts.

The Curriculum Leader for this group of subjects is Mrs Alice Clegg and Media Studies is taught by Mr I T. Barbour.

Courses

  • the subject can be chosen when S2 select their options for S3-4
  • pupils sit National 5 (or 4) at the end of S4
  • pupils then progress to Higher (or Nat 5, as appropriate) in S5 or S6
  • all courses satisfy the four capacities of the Curriculum for Excellence

Media Studies is a demanding subject with analytical and practical production elements. It gives learners opportunities to develop a range of skills that help learning across all subjects: skills for the workplace and for life.
