Pregnancy and Parents Centre (the new name for the Birth Resource Centre) is a charitable organisation which has grown and developed in response to what women have told us that they and their families need during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.
Our grant rounds support children from birth up to and including 18 years of age who are vulnerable, come from disadvantaged backgrounds or are living with an illness or disability. We also provide a lifeline to many other charities, organisations and community groups, funding much-needed services and life-changing equipment.

The Edinburgh & Lothian Trust Fund SCIO administers a number of Trusts. The General Fund is comprised of legacies from individuals who donated a sum of money for the benefit of voluntary agencies and individuals in need, where poverty and illness are main factors.
In School Support
Breakfast Club:
Our breakfast clubs offer a nutritious start to set every pupil up right for their day of learning.
Tuesday– Breakfast Club runs from 7.30-8.30 open to all on the Third Floor.
Tuesday– Wellbeing Hub Breakfast Club 8.15-8.45. (If you would like to participate in this you can contact Sarah Duncan or Mr Hamilton in the Hub for a place.)
Thursday– Numeracy Breakfast Club open to all runs from 7.45– 8.30.
Homework Club:
The Homework Club is open to ALL pupils. It runs every Wednesday in the school library from 3.35 – 4.30 pm. Pupils can come along to get support with homework, classwork and revision. It’s a quiet space for doing homework and pupils can access library resources e.g. textbooks and laptops.
Refreshments will be provided.
School Trips
We aim to provide as much notice as possible when planning trips, especially if there is a financial cost. If you do require any assistance for these trips, please complete The Family Fund Request Form as assistance may be possible.
Uniform
We currently have on offer a Nearly New Uniform Stall available in school to all pupils. All donated items are washed and sold at a reduced price. For access, please see Mr Beard in Maths. If you feel you would benefit from further support on top of this to receive uniform, you can contact Sarah Duncan or fill in the Family Fund Request Form.
Free School Meals (Lunchtime)
FME allows each eligible pupil £2.05 to spend on their lunch each day. This will appear in their account at 11.30am.
