War Memorial on the move
The transition from old to new school took a major step during the Easter break. Our War Memorial so well known to all connected with Boroughmuir was removed and placed in storage ready for installation in the Assembly Hall of the new school. We are delighted that such a unique piece of history commemorating those staff and pupils who made the ultimate sacrifice, will travel with us and be part of the school for future generations.

Rotary Challenge Winners
This was a National Competition organised by the Rotary Foundation UK.
BHS sent 3 teams of 4 students: Junior S2, Intemediate S4, and Advanced S5/6.
The team of four students had to solve a design and technology based task which they know nothing about until the day of the event. Each team is required to design, develop, build and then test their solution to the task from the materials supplied.
The day culminated in a testing session when teams demonstrated their best solution to the task and can observe the efforts of competing teams.
Engineering experts were on hand to offer advice. The tournament was judged by Rotarians and guests with backgrounds in engineering, technology and design.
The junior S2 team from BHS were winners in the section
ARTiculation Final
two members of S6 were competing in the ARTiculation final at Stirling University on Tuesday. The overall standard of presentations was excellent and both girls did the school proud. They spoke with passion and a deep knowledge of their chosen pieces of art. The judges were so impressed that they gave 3rd prize to Laura Morrison and 1st place the Anya Foxworthy-Bowers! Boroughmuir are now ARTiculation Scottish Champions!
Although not a lot of people have heard of the competition, in the art world it is something of a big deal. In fact over 5,000 entrants were recorded across the UK this year and to be winners in Scotland is a brilliant achievement. Well done to both girls – they were fantastic.
