Members of Boroughmuir’s Gender Sexuality Alliance were delighted, on Tuesday 27th October, to attend the Public Petitions Committee at the Scottish Parliament where T.I.E. (time for Inclusive Education were presenting their petition for LGBTQI+ education. The petition asked for LGBTQI+ education to become a statutory part of the curriculum throughout Scotland. There was a great deal of positive response from all members of the cross-party committee and many suggestions provided for actions to be taken. Our group was mentioned as an example of people making a positive impact. Our full support is with the TIE campaign and we wish them luck in the continuation of the campaign.
