Support for Learning

The Support for Learning Department provides tailored support to individual pupils, both within subject classes and smaller group settings, ensuring they develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential. We also equip pupils with additional support needs with essential digital literacy skills to enhance their learning.

Beyond direct support, we promote awareness and understanding of additional support needs across the school. We work closely with colleagues to develop effective teaching and learning approaches, collaborating with subject departments to adapt and differentiate learning resources for pupils who require them

Support for Learning Teachers can complete diagnostic learning assessments with pupils if parent/carers, teachers and/or pupils feel that there is a barrier to their learning.

Our Pupil Support Assistants (PSAs) are primarily in class supporting pupils.  They will also provide support for assessments and work with pupils outside the classroom as and when required.
