Courses
Mathematics is a rich and stimulating subject that engages and fascinates learners of all ages, interests and abilities. Those who study maths develop logical reasoning and problem-solving skills while expanding their creativity and their ability to think in abstract ways.

From designing environmentally friendly electric vehicles to modelling the progress of a disease, mathematics underpins the world we live in. Using mathematics enables individuals to model real-life situations to make informed predictions, interpret and analyse information, simplify issues, assess risk and take important decisions.

Our faculty offers qualifications at all levels in Mathematics, Applications of Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics.  Beyond the classroom we offer opportunities for wider achievement – from competing in UK Maths Trust, Enterprising Maths, UK Olympiads – as well as running a weekly after school club where pupils of all year groups work together in a relaxed, informal setting.

Other activities

Mathematics provides class resources through teacher-led instruction and class Teams pages, following standard curriculum progression appropriate for S1/S2 levels.
