Holocaust Educational Trust
Boroughmuir staff and 2014-15 S6 pupil Alice (pictured) pose with the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, during the Holocaust Educational Trust’s reception at the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 3rd November. HET Ambassadors from across Scotland were present to hear reflections from current regional ambassadors who’d made the one day trip to Auschwitz last year. Their talks reminded everyone of the educational importance of the annual trips. The FM made it as clear as she could that government subsidy funding would continue in future years. This year, a further two S6 pupils from Boroughmuir, Lauren and Oliwia, travelled to Auschwitz as part of the HET project, Learning from Auschwitz.

Boroughmuir’s Disney Dancers
Well done to all of the girls from the Angela Watson School of Dance who took part in the International Festival of Dance and Performing Arts at Disneyland Paris last month. Over 40 girls took part in the event which included a 20 minute performance, dance competitions and dancing in the Disney pre-parade. Almost a quarter of the girls where from Boroughmuir; Alice, Ailsa, Carys, Lauryn, Rebecca, Laura, Rachael, Ciara, Meghan and Beth. They were brilliant and did their school proud.
Boroughmuir Skiing Success
Team did very well yesterday taking 4th place in their group.
Some great skiing all round in what can only be described as a freezer environment at Braehead.
They were up against some fabulous racers, especially from the West Coast and Aberdeen, but raced really hard.
So a well done to the Boroughmuir A team.
