Replacing Boroughmuir High School
The current buliding is to be replaced with a fit for purpose, state of the art building. The new school will take 1,165 pupils when it moves from its current site in Viewforth to a new home next to the Union Canal at Fountainbridge. Pupils will have more sports facilities in the new school, including a roof-top games area that helps to make the most of a tight inner-city site.
This project is being delivered in partnership with Hub South East Scotland Limited. It is part funded by the Scottish Government through the ‘Schools for the Future Programme’ that is managed by the Scottish Futures Trust.
The main contractor is O’Hare McGovern and the Architects are Allan Murray Architects.
