Young Consumers of the Year Competition Success

YC 1yc2 - CopyCongratulation to our Young Consumers team who won the Edinburgh Final at Lothian Chambers on Thursday.

The team of senior pupils Jess (C) Calum, Clara, Henry and Maya beat stiff opposition form James Gillespie’s and Portobello to win the title. They will nopw take part in the Scottish final at the Parliament building in March (details to be finalised).

Thanks to Alex Jones, Education Office at Edinburgh Council who has done a great job selecting and training the team.

Christmas Concert



DSC_3823Well done to the 300 young performers who played and sang their hearts out to a ‘sold out’
Central Hall on Monday. Once again this highlight of the year was a massive success bringing the whole school community, past and present, together to celebrate and get into the Christmas spirit.
A big thank you to all the music teachers and instructors for all their hard work in putting this great show together.

Gymnastics success

  They all did themselves and the school proud and are now preparing for the Scottish Finals in Perth in March!

S1 Radio Star!

Stanley BaxterTom Borley (S1) is starring in a radio play this festive season. Described as “like an audio version of Home Alone”, he plays the kidnapped son of a wealthy philanthropist. However, his bungling captors have met their match and may come to regret their decision… You can hear Tom in the play, which is from the Stanley Baxter Playhouse, on Radio 4 at 11.30am on Wednesday 23rd December. Well done, Tom!

Tennis success
