Tomorrow is SQA exam results day! We hope your pupils get the grades they were looking for. However, we know this can be a worrying time of year for students who are not sure of their next move following their results.

Edinburgh College is holding a Course Drop-In Surgery on Friday 12 August for anyone who wishes to discuss their options for starting a college course this year.

Course advisors and funding experts will be on hand to give students support with fast track applications for courses with places available for starting in August.

The First Ever Boroughmuir Ski Race Club Annual Race

FullSizeRender

Fabulous morning at Hillend on Friday 17th June 2016 for the first ever Boroughmuir Ski Race Club Annual Race. We managed to have 44 racers in total including Boroughmuir former pupils, Buckstone Primary and South Morningside Primary. Some great racing from all the kids and we even had a little Primary 2 boy racing. Stella Cobb in S5 took the faster senior school girl category and Fraser Hunter S2 took the fastest senior boy. There were medals and prizes galore, and everyone went away with something, albeit a trophy, medal or prize. I even managed to get the ribbons on the medals with the school tie colours. Four of the trophies were paid for by the Parent Council and the other trophies were donated by Iain Innes, our very own former pupil and junior Olympian.

Overall a great morning, and I think we might just do it all again next year.

By the end of that season he was selected for Scotland U16’s. Pretty good for a relative novice. He then went on to represent his country at U18 and U21 levels. This weekend he earned his 1st Senior cap agaihst Italy in a tournamrent in Poland. Hopefully he will not stop there but go on to represent GB.

Many congratulations go to Sean from all current and previous Boroughmuir High School hockey players and coaches.
